The Equilibrium Audit
The Equilibrium Audit is a diagnostic for the moment healthy drive crosses into something destructive. Three signals mark the crossing: your peace has shifted, your personal affairs are starting to fray, and you can no longer hear honest input. High performers rarely notice the line in the moment; the audit makes it checkable.
Origin
From Spiritcode, by Yemi Mateola. Built for high achievers and work addicts: the people whose strength and whose risk are the same trait.
When to use it
Quarterly, as a standing practice, and immediately when someone close to the leader uses the word "lately." Also at the start of any coaching engagement, as a baseline.
A worked example
An operator running two ventures swears the pace is fine. The audit says otherwise: sleep is transactional, a marriage conversation has been postponed three times, and the last contrary opinion he accepted was months ago. Nothing has failed yet, which is exactly when the audit is useful. The correction was subtraction, not collapse: one venture got a real second-in-command, and two recovery practices became non-negotiable.
